Film & Television Training
Hastings Training Centre
The Distant Voices Academy course in film and television was specifically designed to engage and support a traditionally hard-to-reach student cohort by offering an introduction to the diverse array of opportunities within the television sector. The primary goal of this initiative was to provide access and knowledge to groups often underrepresented in the industry, focusing on driving opportunities for individuals across gender, race, disability, neurodiversity, NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), and parents returning to work. The course aimed to bridge the gap by empowering and equipping these groups with essential skills (Literacy, numeracy and digital) and resources, ultimately striving to create a more inclusive and diverse landscape within the film and television industry.
