By leveraging BECTU's expertise and network, this initiative seeks to address the industry's diversity gap and empower individuals from marginaliied backgrounds to thrive in the film and television sector.

NHS England 

Nationwide Wellnees Programme

Courses designed specifically for the nationwide NHS initiative incorporate comedy therapy as a unique approach to tackle issues surrounding mental health, wellness, and anxiety, aiming to promote laughter and positive emotions as therapeutic tools for individuals. These courses provide a refreshing and light-hearted way for participants to engage with their mental well-being, fostering a supportive environment while addressing important psychological concerns.

LSB University 

Providing Accredited Training 

London South Bank University and Distant Voices Group have come together with a shared mission to address the underrepresentation of minority groups in the film and television industry by targeting and delivering specialised courses. With a focus on diversity and inclusivity, these courses aim to provide opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the industry. Through this partnership, the organisations are committed to empowering and supporting minority communities in London to thrive in the film and television sector.

Hastings Council

Training for the hard to reach  

Endorsed by the council, this training programme aims to assist the hard-to-reach individuals within the district by providing an accessible introduction to the film and television sector. This inclusive initiative particularly caters to refugees, NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), and the neurodiverse, empowering them with valuable skills and opportunities in an industry often perceived as inaccessible.
